Nancy
Gotter Gates,
a Greensboro resident, is the facilitator of WGOT's Mystery
Writer's I group. Gates has been published regionally, nationally
and internationally. Her short stories and poetry have appeared
in the prestigious 1985, 1987, and 1995 O. Henry Festival Stories.
She has also appeared in Children's Digest, Cat Fancy, Working
Woman, Children's Playmate, The State, Crucible, and North Carolina
Literary Review. Nancy has completed three novels and edited
the book Creative Writing/Cooking, published by Down Home Press
in 1994. Her poem about a house on wheels appeared in the book
"A Turn in Time, Piedmont Writers at the Millennium". She has
contributed to the WGOT mystery anthology, "Deadly Plots," which
sold so well when it came out in late 2002 that it went rapidly
into a second printing. She also contributed to two WGOT children's
anthologies, No Grown-ups Allowed and Candle
in the Attic and to the WGOT adult anthology, Wordworks,
published in November, 2003.

The Mystery Writers I group is currently a Closed group, which
means that it is at maximum attendance. Because of demand, WGOT will
be opening a new Mystery Writers Group soon.
