"Music is a higher revelation than
all wisdom and philosophy. Music is the electrical soil in which
the spirit lives, thinks and invents."
- Ludwig van Beethoven

about a mile and a half. Turn right on Vandalia and you'll see the

Demetra
'Tita' Bakas,
a former vice-president of WGOT and a member of the WGOT Children's
Writers group, loves the power of lyrics and melody to create
new worlds of imagination. As a singer, songwriter and author,
she invites children to experience the adventure of the natural
world, and the fun of other cultures. She is author of the book,
"Black Eyed Susan", published by Creation of Celebration,
and has recorded a musical audiotape of one of her songs, "Peace
for my Family," to accompany the book. Her latest CD, "Animal
Totem Songs," marketed toward upper 4- to 11-year-olds, was
performed by "Tita and the Traveling Totems" (instrumentation
and vocals include co-writers Brad Reaves and John Paul McNeil).
